Need for Speed: World was released in July 2010 and it sees the return of illegal racing to the streets as seen in Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Need for Speed: Carbon. The map of NFS: World is a joined map of the maps featured in the two games Most Wanted (Rockport) and Carbon (Palmont) joining them into one large map, making Need for Speed: World a sequel to Carbon (Which is a sequel to Most Wanted). NFS: World is a MMO Racing Game and set only for the Windows-PC platform.
